The Fates

  • The Fates follows one family’s journey of difference, embracing neurodiversity and queerness, whilst learning what it means to lead their planet into better days. This series is steeped in political intrigue, action-packed plots, found family, a fated-mate romance, alien royalty, and a whole lotta heart.

  • I’ve planned for 5, but this is subject to change.

  • I’m not ready to share the characters’ names yet, but here’s a breakdown of representation:

    • Female Main Character (FMC): Autistic, Bisexual, PTSD, Adopted, Plus Size

    • Male Main Character (MMC): Pansexual, Adopted

    • Female Supporting Character: Autistic, Lesbian

    • Male Supporting Character: Autistic, Tourette’s Syndrome

    • Non-Binary supporting characters

    • Character with an above-the-knee amputation and prosthesis (we meet them many years after the limb loss occurred)

  • I’m proudly autistic, plus ADHD and Tourette’s Syndrome. I’m also bisexual. Chronic illnesses also linger in me. I’m plus-size and mixed race, too. The characters who are out of my reach in terms of lived experience, I heavily research and have beta-read by others who do have those invaluable experiences.

Untitled Duology

  • Broken up between two books, this duology follows 2 major characters from The Fates, completing their assigned duties in the aftermath of the final novel.

    • Female Main Character (FMC) - Lesbian & Autistic

    • Dual POV

    • Mixed race love interest

    • Undercover princess

    • Bodyguard x protectee

    • Slight Brat-girl-summer vibes, but make it alienoid with a ton of dancing on tavern bars

    • Male Main Character (MMC)- Autistic & Tourette’s Syndrome, Straight

    • Female Main Character (FMC) - Pansexual / Queer

    • Dual POV

    • First love for both MMC and FMC

    • Fallen angel-type character (this is the closest I can describe it)

    • If there were a mood-board, I’d include celestial themes and masquerade ball photos

Fallen Goddess

  • This project is very loosely planned, but it follows the youngest son of the main two protagonists in The Fates, who is tasked with taking care of a magical kind living on Earth two thousand years after the events that took place in that series, and the subsequent duology.

  • I’ve roughly planned 5 or 6 books in this series.

  • This would most likely be the last series in the world of The Fates.

Thoughts on Publication

  • Traditional publication would certainly be amazing, but there are many steps to take before even considering that too much. Right now, I’m focusing on drafting, then will go through professional editing (when I’ll also begin the 1st draft of Book Two), before finding the right literary agent. It’s important to me that every step of the way I’m putting my best foot forward, as well as finding professionals who are neurodivergent or have experience working with neurodivergent writers.

  • I’m keeping self-publishing as Plan B if Plan A (traditional publishing) doesn’t work out.

  • I’m interested, yes! I’m not currently able to write more than I already do, but definitely down the road.
